Remove a member
Removing a member ends their membership in the active team. Their Coolify account and any other team memberships remain available.
Before you remove a member
You must be an Owner or Admin in the active team.
The role hierarchy limits who you can remove:
- Owners can remove any other team member, including another Owner.
- Admins can remove Admins and Members, but not Owners.
- You cannot remove yourself from the Members page.
Confirm that the person no longer needs access to the team's projects, servers, credentials, shared variables, or other resources.
Remove the member
The Remove action does not open a confirmation step. Confirm the person's name, email address, and role before selecting it.
Open the member list
- Confirm that the intended team is active.
- Select Teams in the Coolify sidebar.
- Select Members.
Select Remove
Find the person by name and email address, then select Remove in their row.
Coolify removes the team membership and revokes API tokens that belong to that user and team.
Confirm the removal
Verify that the person's row no longer appears in the member list.
The removed person can no longer work in that team. If they are signed in, Coolify clears the unavailable active-team selection when their next request checks membership.
What removal changes
Removing a member does not:
- delete their Coolify account
- remove them from other teams
- delete projects, servers, applications, databases, services, or settings owned by this team
- transfer team resources to another person
To restore access later, invite the person again and select the role they should receive.
