Coolify sends Discord notifications through an incoming webhook created for a Discord text channel.

## Create a Discord webhook

### Choose the destination

Open the Discord server that should receive Coolify notifications. Create a text channel, such as `coolify-notifications`, or select an existing one.

You need permission to manage webhooks in that server.

### Create the webhook

1. Open **Server Settings > Integrations > Webhooks**.
2. Select **New Webhook**.
3. Give the webhook a recognizable name, such as `Coolify`.
4. Select the text channel that should receive its messages.
5. Select **Copy Webhook URL**.

See [Discord's webhook documentation](https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/228383668-Intro-to-Webhooks) for provider-specific details.

> **Warning: Protect the webhook URL**
>
> Anyone with the URL can post to the Discord channel. Store it as a secret and replace the webhook if the URL is exposed.

## Configure Coolify

1. Open **Notifications > Discord**.
2. Paste the URL into **Webhook URL** and select **Save changes**.
3. Select **Enable**.
4. Optional: set **Critical event mention** to **Mention @here** to add `@here` to critical event notifications. Discord notifies only members who are online and can access the channel.
5. Under **Notification events**, select the events to send to Discord.
6. Select **Send test**.

Confirm that the test appears in the selected Discord channel before selecting additional events.

## Troubleshoot Discord delivery

If the test does not appear:

1. Return to **Server Settings > Integrations > Webhooks** and confirm that the webhook still exists.
2. Confirm that it targets the channel you are checking. A webhook can be moved to another channel without changing the workflow in Coolify.
3. Copy the URL again and replace the saved value in Coolify if the webhook was recreated or its token changed.
4. Confirm that the destination channel still exists and that the webhook can post to it.
5. Save the URL before selecting **Enable**, then send another test.

See [Notification events](https://next.coolify.io/docs/core/notifications/events) for the trigger behind each event setting.
